We recently used jetset. The service was great, we had a slight issue and when I called to see what we could do to resolve it, the staff were more than happy to make multiple offers to resolve it. There's no such thing as a mistake free business, so when it eventually does happen it's great to have the "mistake" corrected in such a professional manner. We will use them again in the future and absolutely recommend them.
Great service, came early than scheduled and fixed our problem…. Hot showers he we come
I want to commend Will and Howie for the great job they did in removing the tree roots from our piping and ensuring that they do not return. Will and Howie were excellent workers and very pleasant to have around. They are a credit to the Jetset organization. Well done.
Ben was great amazing work very helpful
Jetset Plumbing responded quickly to an underground water leak that wasn't visible. They arrived on site on time and got straight to work. Ben was honest about the time it could take to find the leak and our property is much further away from the road than a standard house. Even with the distance he had located the leak within 30min of being on site! He also identified my mains pressure was 2 x the normal limit and should be addressed. He organised a quote and install time for their next available day. Chris came to site and got straight to work, found the leak as marked by Ben and had it repaired in less than desired conditions due to the size of the leak. He left our property with the leak repaired, new pressure reduction valve installed and the excavation sorted better than I ever could. Highly recommend Jetset Plumbing !!
Ben and Owen attended today to find my water leak. Very friendly and professional 👌 Ben explained everything before starting and how much it was going to cost. Thank you 😊
Joe very nice and patient with me , efficient have my whole water system fixed under hot day . Thank you
They came out on time and everything we needed done was completed in a timely manner. They also advise anything else that might need doing in the future which is handy to know. Very happy with the work done.
This company is a breath of "fresh air" in all respects. Communication is everything to a customer and the team at Jetset Plumbing cannot be faulted in this regard. From the initial contact to book a worksite quote, to the completed job. Zane, who assessed the cracked sewerage pipe/s, provided confident reassurance that a workable solution was possible for the two separate cracked sewerage piping outlets despite the very tight access area. The quote was comprehensive providing a well itemised description of work required. Really admired the work ethic of Jessy and his assistant Bailey, who rebuilt and relined the separate damaged pipes. Jessy patiently listened to this customer's queries/concerns and structured his job approach accordingly. Options were discussed and the solution offered made sense, thanks to clear advice given. I was pleasantly surprised (and much relieved) when Jessy offered to resize and reinstall the supporting besser brick block structure (boxed up soil overlay) so it's base would not impend on the underlying newly installed pipework. Extremely satisfied with the entire experience, knowing the company will also follow up yearly to check the relining work. Very highly recommended.
The Jetset team just completed a big job here. Met Zane, Windom, Chris and Craig on the digger. They did a great job and were on time, professional, polite, personable - communicated well and cleaned the site impeccably afterwards. Definitely recommend the Jetset Team.
Rhys has done a fantastic job, great down to earth service that is just so refreshing. Keep it up.
Dealt with Ben for the replacement of the hot water tank at the rental property. Ben promptly returned my calls, provided clear explanations of the scope of work, and completed the job on the same day as my inquiry. Very happy with the work. A+++

Rylee with tree roots from a blocked drain

The Damage Caused

When you begin to notice the warning signs that your stormwater drainage is experiencing issues, you need to act quickly to reduce the risk of damage to your home.

If your stormwater drainage isn't maintained, the damages will continue to become more severe, and limits your available options for repairs.

Tree root infestations becoming more severe, cracked pipes turning into complete separations, are just some of the harsh realities your stormwater drainage could be experiencing.

Pipe Relining

("No Dig Repair")

Pipe Relining

Pipe relining (aka "pipe inversion") is an effective way to fix broken and damaged pipes - without the need for digging up your yard.

Relining drains and sewer pipes involves inserting a pipe liner into the existing drain pipe. The liner then becomes permanently fixed to the surrounding pipe, essentially replacing the pipe from within.

It's 4 times stronger than the original pipe!

Blocked Stormwater Drain Specialists

Your stormwater drains will flow as good as new.

To clear a blocked sewer or stormwater drain we use the latest technology drain clearing device - the 5000 psi High Pressure Water Jetter.

We will clear your drain, flush out your entire line and have your pipes flowing as good as new! It's just like a high pressure car wash for your sewer or stormwater pipes.

The High Pressure Water Jetter can cut through tree roots, debris and waste build up. (Plus it's more aggressive on blockages and much gentler on your pipes than the old "drain snake" and "electric eel" methods.)

It's also a drain cleaning machine as it thoroughly cleans the pipes to help prevent further build up.

Drain Cleaning

Latest drain cleaning technology

High Pressure Jetters are an extremely effective and efficient way to clear both your sewer and stormwater drains. It's great for clearing out all greasy blockages and removing any tree roots.

Jetset Plumbing's High Pressure Water Jetters can run at a pressure of 5000 psi.

High Pressure Water Jetters

High pressure water blasts out of the end of a small nozzle attached to the hose. The hose is placed into the drain and self-propels itself through the pipe blasting through any obstacles, such as tree roots, grease, moss, dirt that are in its path.

The high pressure jetters aren't just a blockage remover - they are a drain clearing and drain cleaning machine!

One advantage of the high pressure jetting machine is it can reach blockages that are further along the pipes than what a conventional electric eel drain machine or drain snake can reach. We also tend to use our high pressure jetting machines for kitchen sinks as they are always filled with grease. The machine easily cuts through the grease and fats to allow the pipe to flow freely again.

The high pressure jetting machine is very efficient for cleaning drains and sinks in commercial properties as well where thick build up can occur.

Stormwater Drains

We'll clear your blocked stormwater drains for you the same day

If you have a blocked stormwater drain we can use a high pressure water jetter. This is the best drain cleaner in this situation as it uses high pressure water and will remove any stubborn blockage along with any dirt, leaves or sludge from the stormwater pipes.

Conventional electric eel drain machines or drain snakes are older style machines and not good enough when it comes to clearing those stubborn blockages and can actually damage your pipes. All our water jetters are trailer mounted.

Plumber clearing a blocked drain with a high pressure water jetter

If you have a blocked stormwater drain we can save you time and money by using the high-pressure water jetting. The blocked drain clearing experts here at Jetset Plumbing find the easiest method for cleaning blocked stormwater drains and blocked sewer drains is to use the high pressure drain clearing machine.

Using highly pressurised water, at a rate of 5000 psi, it can easily cut through a heavy drain blockage that we might find, and is especially effective on those slimy, sludgy build-ups and tree root infiltrations most commonly found in some drains.

The jetter is better at drain cleaning than the older methods such as the drain snake or electric eel. The drain snake or electric eel aren't drain cleaning machines.

Blocked Drains from Tree Roots

Are tree roots blocking your pipes or drain?

Using CCTV Drain Cameras we will find out exactly what is causing your sewer drains to block up. Our inspections identify and locate serious drain problems like tree roots. Tree roots in your drains can cause debris to build up and crack or collapse your pipes which could end up costing you thousands of dollars in repairs in the long run.

How do tree roots block drains? When it first starts, the root is often just big enough to block toilet paper, kitchen grease and other debris. Then as more waste builds up, it eventually clogs the whole drain.

Tree Roots in Your Drains? Here's Why and What You Need to Know! video

So what if roots have damaged your pipes? There are a few potential options your plumber can talk to you about.

Your plumber can replace your clay pipes with new PVC pipes. New PVC pipes are better at stopping tree roots from penetrating them.

You may also be able to reline your existing sewer pipes in situ. This can save digging up your property and an economical alternative to replacing the pipes.

These 5 Trees WILL Destroy Your Drains! video

CCTV Drain Camera

CCTV sewer drain camera technology

Jetset Plumbing have several Closed Circuit TV drain cameras (CCTVs) which can be placed down your drain or sewer pipe to see what is causing your blocked drains.

The drain camera will clearly identify any damages that may have occurred to the pipe from the blockage and determine why the drain has blocked up. This will allow your plumber to find and identify the exact location and problem of the blockage and then decide on the most effective clearing method.

Collapsed pipes, tree roots, misaligned pipes and foreign objects in the drain are all problems we can identify when we use the CCTV camera.

In some cases, drain problems can be ongoing and require further assistance, again, this is where one of our CCTV drain cameras can help.

What is a blocked sewer pipe?

A blocked drain in your sewer system usually results in wastewater, sewage etc overflowing somewhere on your property. This could be from your toilet lines, your shower drains or even your kitchen drain line. When your sewer line is blocked up, it is definitely a more urgent situation than most other blocked drain situations as you usually can't continue to use any of your internal plumbing fixtures.

What are the warning signs of a blocked toilet?

A blocked toilet can either appear out of nowhere, or it can slowly build up over time giving you continuous warning signs. When you flush your toilet, if the water rises up to the top of the bowl that is a sure sign to tell you there is a blockage somewhere that is struggling to move through your drain. You may also hear gurgling noises coming from the bowl when other fixtures are being used.

What are blocked stormwater drains?

When we experience rain, our drains are designed to handle the flow of water from around your roof and also around your house. If you have ever noticed overflowing water from your gutters and downpipes, or even flooding around the outside of your home, you may have a serious blocked stormwater drain.

Blocked sinks

Whether you have a blocked kitchen sink or a blocked bathroom sink, there are multiple reasons why you are left with a pool of water in the bottom. Either there is a build up of hair and gunk, or it could be more severe such as a build up of grease and fats. You want to ensure your entire drain is free of any obstruction once the sink is flowing freely.

Blocked shower drains

Blocked shower drains may be caused by a simple hair and soap scum blockage, or it could be a more serious issue within the pipes under your bathroom floor. Whatever the cause of the issue, you need your local plumber to inspect your pipes to ensure there are no serious blockages.

FAQs: Blocked Drains

Clearing a blocked drain involves several steps to ensure thorough removal of the obstruction. Our process typically begins with an assessment of the blockage's nature and location using specialised equipment such as camera inspection to identify and address any underlying issues within the pipe. We then employ methods such as high pressure jetting to dislodge and flush away the debris. Our experienced plumbers tailor the approach based on the severity and type of blockage, ensuring a successful clearing while minimising potential damage to your plumbing system. We may also employ a technique known as pipe relining.
Outside drains can become blocked due to a variety of factors. Leaves, twigs, and debris carried by wind or rainwater can accumulate and obstruct the drainage path. Additionally, soil, mud, and silt can get washed into drains during heavy rainfall, gradually causing blockages. Roots from nearby trees and plants might infiltrate the drain pipes, leading to clogs. Poorly maintained or damaged drain covers can also allow larger items to enter and block the drain. Regular cleaning, proper landscaping, and preventive measures are recommended to minimise the risk of outside drain blockages. If you encounter persistent blockages, our experts can help identify the underlying causes and provide effective solutions.
Unclogging a toilet involves a series of steps to address various potential causes of blockage. Initially, we assess whether the blockage is localised within the toilet's trap or if it extends further down the drainpipe. We often start to dislodge minor obstructions in the toilet trap. If the clog persists, it could be indicative of a deeper issue in the drain line. In such cases, specialised tools like high pressure jetting might be used to reach and remove the obstruction. While the toilet is a common point of blockage, issues within the main drain line can also contribute to recurring clogs. Our skilled plumbers can determine the root cause and employ the appropriate methods to ensure effective unclogging and prevent future blockages.
The cost of clearing a blocked drain can vary greatly. It all depends on the nature of each job, the severity of the blockage, how complex removal is and how long the plumber will be required to stay at the job. The cheapest removal of a blockage is a basic blocked toilet as these can be removed quite quickly. However, most blockages require specialised equipment such as a CCTV drain camera or a high pressure jetter.
There are a number of things that could cause a blocked drain. It could be from a build-up of gunk to foreign things being caught in the drain. We find generally the main causes of a blocked drain are build up of grease and fats, leaves (stormwater drains) and hair.
1. The drain takes too long to drain. 2. The drain is overflowing. 3. The drain starts to smell. 4. The drain makes strange noises.
To clear a blocked drain pour some hot water down your clogged drain. It will also help to mix equal parts baking soda and vinegar with the hot water. Cover the drain with a plug and let it sit for 30 minutes. Follow it up with more hot water to flush it out. Don't use boiling hot water as too hot a water may warp your PVC pipes.
To unblock a kitchen or bathroom sink, run hot water down the drain to soften the clog. Put some washing-up liquid down the drain and then run more hot water. If this doesn't work, try using a suitable chemical drain cleaner.
