Jetset Plumbing is a business driven by a deep commitment to corporate social responsibility, which is why we proudly support World Vision in making a transformative impact on the lives of many living in a Cambodian village nestled within the mountains. This rural community grapples with numerous challenges, from harsh climatic conditions to inadequate resources for farming, sanitation, and education. We chose to stand with World Vision to help bring positive change to this village because we believe it is important to do so.

The Struggles of a Cambodian Village

It's hard to envision what it might be like, but try for just one moment to take a walk in someone else's shoes. Feel the heat of the sun beating down on your back day in and day out. Let it sear your skin with its relentless intensity as you work in the fields with no proper tools. Feel the ache in your muscles as you bend to tend to the parched land, hands calloused and blistered from hours of labour.

But it doesn't end there.

Watch as poor sanitation and hygiene cast a looming shadow over daily life, breeding illness and disease with alarming frequency. Notice how education, which you once saw as a beacon of hope, now feels like a distant dream. See how inadequate facilities and a shortage of trained teachers conspire to rob the children around you of their right to learn and grow.

It's a situation you'd never hope to find yourself in, and yet for so many, it is a daily reality.

Jetset's Mission with World Vision

Jetset is unwavering in its commitment to break this cycle. Through our partnership with World Vision, we aim to catalyse positive change and empower the community in various ways:

Establishment of a Library

Our primary goal is to create a library in the village, providing a central hub for knowledge and education. This initiative seeks to enhance access to learning resources, enabling children and adults alike to expand their horizons and break free from the constraints of limited educational facilities.

Agricultural Training

Recognising the importance of farming in the community, Jetset is supporting initiatives to educate villagers in advanced farming techniques. This training aims to increase food production, improve crop yields, and enhance overall agricultural sustainability.

Hygiene and Sanitation Practices

Addressing the health challenges in the village, our mission includes comprehensive training programs on hygiene and sanitation practices. These initiatives are designed to help reduce the prevalence of illnesses and improve the overall well-being of the community.

Health and Nutrition Education
