Fast and efficient service from Keith, would highly recommend
I called Jet Set Plumbing for my place in Varsity Lakes and Reece came. Reece was amazing. He went above and beyond. I called to just look at the downpipe but he inspected the sewage, the taps inside the house and provided a full comprehensive assessment - without me even asking. After everything he called much later to even check in to ensure everything was okay. I would recommend Jet Set Plumbing and Reece to everyone. Amazing customer service - the best.
After buying our first home, we had a wide variety of plumbing works needing to be done, and quickly. We saw the Jetset team and the overwhelmingly positive google reviews and went with the crowd. Boy are we glad we did.

This team has blown my socks off with how excellent their service and professionalism is. From start to finish, they provided clear and consise information about each job they completed, and did amazing work all the way along.

To top it off, we recieved a lovely little gift in the mail a month after all was completed, that we use every day.

Can't thank the team enough for their work and would encourage anyone to use Jetset in the future.
I’d like to thank Mitch of GC Jetset Plumbing for the excellent and meticulous workmanship, professionalism, prompt and on time service. Mitch showed willingness to share his knowledge and expertise for me to understand the job at hand and was up front and committed to his quote, start to finish. My weekend will be spent swanning past my bathroom to stare at my new toilet system and enjoy the peace of no running water , overflow or hissing 😂 Thank you Mitch and thank you Jetset Plumbing for your prompt service response.
I recently had Jetset Plumbing replace my hot water system, and I couldn't be happier with the service. Communication was excellent from start to finish, and Tom took the time to clearly (and kindly) explain the issues with my electrical system in a way that was easy to understand. The whole team was friendly, professional, and efficient. I highly recommend Jetset Plumbing, and a big thank you for the thoughtful surprise gift—it was such a lovely touch!
Jetset plumbing upgraded my 18 year old failing hot water system. Liam was assigned the job of replacing the system. He was very professional, polite and kept me informed of his progress. His workmanship was excellent and he left the site clean and tidy. Prior to completing the job he explained the key maintenance tasks that I needed to do every six months to ensure the system functioned optimally.
Windum (sorry if I spelt it wrong) and Tom were great, and exceptionally friendly. Got a pressure regulator on the main done, and a new hot water system. The job looks great and always kept a smile, even with all the questions I had. Give these lads a well deserved EKO~
Outstanding work from Jetset plumbing from start to finish couldn’t ask for better service, they were flawless Got a quote from Reece one day Then fixed by Dan the next day Just what you need these days. Absolutely legends Give them a call if you want your job done properly✅

Types of Electric Hot Water Heaters

Electric hot water systems are still one of the most common type of water heater used in New South Wales homes. Of these, storage hot water systems are the most popular, as opposed to instantaneous hot water systems, because they can service a greater demand.

Electric Storage Hot Water System

An electric storage hot water heater works by allowing cold water to flow into a storage tank, where it is heated to a set temperature using internal electric heating elements. As the water heats up, it rises to the top of the tank and remains stored there until it's needed for use. This system ensures a constant supply of hot water, ready whenever you need it.

Electric Instant Hot Water System

Also known as continuous flow heaters, electric instant hot water systems heat water on demand. When you turn on a hot water tap, cold water passes through a heat exchanger, quickly heating the water as it flows to the outlet.

While these systems are generally more energy-efficient than storage units, they often come with a higher upfront cost. Instant hot water systems can also experience slight delays in water heating during periods of high demand-the more taps running, the slower the hot water flow may become.

Why Choose Electric Hot Water?

We understand choosing the right hot water system can be difficult, especially with a greater push for environmentally friendly households.

The main selling point for these electric storage heaters is their low upfront cost. Often, new hot water systems are bought when the old one has failed, or is at least close to it. Electric hot water systems make that initial purchase far more affordable; it also helps that they are generally easier to install and last for at least 10-15 years.

If the running costs are making you hesitant, there are some storage systems that can be connected to off-peak power periods. This restricts the times at which the heating system can actually heat. Though these periods are often between the hours of 11pm to 7am, meaning the units need to be larger as they cannot continuously heat throughout the day.

What To Consider Before Going Electric

While electric hot water systems often come with lower upfront costs, there are several important factors to consider before making your decision.

Electric hot water systems are generally less efficient and less environmentally friendly compared to gas or solar options. To prevent bacterial growth, water in storage tanks must be maintained at a minimum temperature of 60°C, which results in continuous energy consumption. This constant energy demand can lead to higher running costs over time.

Additionally, electric storage water tanks are typically large, requiring a capacity of at least 120 - 160 litres to meet standard household needs. This can be a concern for homes with limited space. While both indoor and outdoor installation options are available, the space requirements for these units may not be suitable for every household.

Electric Hot Water System Maintenance

Electric hot water systems should be serviced every five years to ensure longevity and provide maximum functionality.
