Leaking Tap? Need a New Tap? We'll Fix It Fast!

Tap problems in Logan kitchens, bathrooms, laundries and outdoor areas can appear as a steady drip, water leaking from the handle or base, a loose spout, low flow, noise or a handle that is difficult to move. The visible symptom may come from a washer, cartridge or seal, but damaged seats, flexible hoses and pipe connections can also be involved.

Water escaping beneath a sink or behind a fixture can affect cabinetry, plaster and flooring before the leak becomes obvious. Early inspection can limit water waste and help separate a straightforward tap repair from a leak in the connection or pipework.

We repair traditional spindle taps, quarter-turn taps, mixers, pull-out kitchen taps and common outdoor taps where compatible parts are available. If the body is damaged, badly corroded or parts are obsolete, we can discuss a replacement that suits the existing plumbing, mounting hole and intended use.

Our plumbers attend Logan houses, apartments, managed properties and commercial premises. Repairs and installations are tested for correct operation and leaks before the work area is handed back.

Phil from Jetset Plumbing did a fantastic job fixing my kitchen tap. He was quick, professional and personable. He diagnosed the issue easily and gave sound advice. Really impressed with his service. Very happy with the result and glad to be supporting a local business. I’ll definitely be a return customer.
We had the pleasure of support from Mitch at JetSet helping us with the install of the dishwashers.

Thanks so much!
Keith, came and flushed and cleared our drains. Very professional and did a great job
I just had Jetset Plumbing complete some major work on my old 1950s home, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Keith, Steve and Dustin were absolutely outstanding from start to finish.

The job was extensive — old terracotta pipes, ageing infrastructure and decades‑old issues — but the team handled everything with total professionalism. They used a relining method on the old terracotta sewer pipes, which meant no digging up concrete floors, no mess, and no need to replace huge sections of the original piping. The result was incredibly clean and efficient.

They also replaced all the old, corroded galvanised mains water plumbing throughout the house. It was a big job, but the boys made it look easy. They were super friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and took the time to explain every step so I always understood exactly what was happening. Their communication and willingness to answer questions made a huge difference.

The quality of their work, the care they took, and the respect they showed for my home were genuinely impressive. They did such a great job that I’ve already booked them to come back next week for additional stormwater drainage work.

If you’re looking for tradesmen who are skilled, trustworthy, and genuinely great people, I can’t recommend Jetset Plumbing — and especially Keith, Steve and Dustin — highly enough. Outstanding service.
Thank you keith for comjng to the rescue for our shop! Got me out of trouble and worked around us so didnt have to close the shop
Jordan from Jet Set Plumbing visited to investigate a leak and explained the entire process and associated costs clearly. He wasn’t trying to sell us anything. I’ve never encountered a plumbing company with such high customer service standards.
After weeks of extremely low tap pressure, Keith replaced the flow restrictor valve, flushed all flow restrictors in each tap and restored our tap pressure to its original strength. He was lovely to deal with and conscientious.
Jason was very helpful, professional and did an amazing job.
Dan H and Jakob were great!
Keith did a great job. Very professional and solved my issues right away.
Will recommend him anytime.
A hand written note after using their service ! What a great experience. Exactly why you support local family owned businesses. Shout out to Gem.
Blocked toilet, excellent service

Tap Installation & Repairs

Tap Repairs

Tap repairs address dripping outlets, leaks around handles or bases, stiff operation, loose fittings, noise and irregular flow. The correct repair depends on the tap design and may involve washers, O-rings, cartridges, valve seats, spindles, aerators or flexible connections.

Using specialised tools, the issue is identified and repaired at the source, whether it's worn washers, O-rings, or internal components. The tap is restored so it operates smoothly again without leaks, helping prevent further water waste or damage with minimal disruption to your property.

Each repair is completed using proven methods to deliver reliable, long-term results.

Leaking Taps

A leaking tap can waste a meaningful amount of water, with the total depending on the drip rate and how long the fault continues. Leaks from mixer handles, bases and flexible hoses can also run into cabinets or wall cavities rather than down the drain, increasing the risk of swelling, stains or mould.

Using specialised tools, the cause of the leak is found and fixed, whether it's worn washers, damaged seals, or other parts inside. The tap is fixed so it works properly again, stopping the leak and preventing more water waste or damage with minimal disruption to your home.

Each repair is completed using proven methods to give reliable, long-lasting results.

Mixer Taps

Mixer taps control hot and cold water through a single lever and commonly use a replaceable cartridge. Faults can include leaking from the handle, a stiff lever, poor temperature control, a loose spout or water escaping around the base. Repair depends on cartridge availability and the condition of the tap body.

With advanced tools, the mixer tap is repaired or replaced depending on the condition of the system. A wide range of styles can be installed to suit your property, ensuring smooth operation and consistent water flow with minimal disruption.

The work is completed properly to ensure reliable performance and long-lasting results.

Tap Plumbing FAQs

What should I do if my tap is leaking?

If your tap is leaking, turn it off properly and avoid using it if possible. Even a small drip can get worse over time and lead to more damage. Calling a plumber early can help fix the issue before it becomes a bigger problem.

Can I fix a leaking tap myself?

Some small leaks can be fixed by replacing washers or O-rings. If the leak continues or you are unsure what to do, it is best to have a plumber fix it properly to avoid further damage.

What tools do I need to fix a leaking tap?

Basic tools like a wrench, screwdriver, and pliers are often used for simple tap repairs. You may also need replacement parts like washers or O-rings. If you are unsure, a plumber will have the right tools and parts to fix the issue.

How do I turn off the water to a tap?

You can usually find shut-off valves under the sink. Turn the valve to stop the water supply before working on the tap. If you cannot find the valve, you may need to turn off the main water supply.

What are the signs of a leaking tap?

A leaking tap is not always just a drip. You might notice water around the base, leaking from the handle, or taps that are hard to turn on or off. These are all signs the tap may need repair.

Why is my tap dripping?

A dripping tap is often caused by worn washers, seals, or internal parts. Over time, these components wear out and allow water to leak through even when the tap is turned off.

Can a leaking tap waste water?

Yes. The amount depends on the drip rate and how long the leak continues, but even a slow leak adds to water use and may increase your bill. Repairing the fault also helps protect nearby finishes when water is escaping from the handle, base or connections.

Can a leaking tap cause damage to my property?

Yes, leaking taps can cause damage if left too long. Water can spread into cabinets, walls, and flooring, leading to swelling, stains, or mould.

What if I've tried to fix the tap and it still leaks?

If the tap is still leaking after you have tried to fix it, the problem may be deeper inside the system. A plumber can identify the cause and repair it properly to stop the leak.

When should I call a plumber for a leaking tap?

You should call a plumber if the leak does not stop, keeps coming back, or if you are unsure how to fix it. Getting it checked early can help prevent further damage and higher repair costs.

Can you repair all types of taps?

Yes, most taps can be repaired depending on the issue. This includes spindle taps, mixer taps, and other common tap types used in kitchens, bathrooms, and laundries.

Can you install a new tap?

Yes, a new tap can be installed if your current one is damaged or no longer working properly. The new tap will be set up correctly so it works smoothly and safely with your plumbing.

Can you help me choose the right tap?

Yes, help can be provided to choose a tap that suits your property. There are many styles available, including mixer taps and pull-out taps, depending on your needs and space.

How can I prevent taps from leaking?

Regular use and wear can cause taps to leak over time. Fixing small issues early and avoiding over-tightening taps can help reduce the risk of leaks.

How long does it take to fix a leaking tap?

This depends on the problem. Many tap repairs can be completed quickly once the cause is identified, while more complex issues may take longer.
