Running Creek is a large rural locality that is located within the Scenic Rim region of South East Queensland, on the border of Queensland and New South Wales. The Glenapp railway hut is located along the Brisbane to Sydney railway line at Running Creek, the hut was established in 1930 and is only one of a few remaining intact in the country. The national park has no walking tracks or visitor facilities as it aims to protect remnant rainforest and preserve habitats.Vegetation has been cleared in other parts of the locality, primarily for production and residential purposes.
