Why is it Important to use a Plumber That is Coronavirus Aware?

These are unprecedented times and while you might just want to lock your doors, batten down the hatches and ride this thing out in the safety of your home without seeing anyone outside of your household ... sadly the world keeps turning and this may not be the most feasible plan in the long run. Everyday things like plumbing mishaps still occur and when it comes to calling a plumber, you should be sure you hire one that is coronavirus aware.

It can be really difficult to understand and imagine the scale of what a rampant global pandemic can actually do ... as of today most global trade has come to a screeching halt, but even still, a lot of people aren’t taking this seriously.

The difficulty of understanding exponential growth has been around for a very long time.

A famous parable shows just how quickly things can get out of hand.

A king demands to purchase a new game called "chess" from the inventor, the inventor names his price and asks to be paid in wheat.

He asks the king to place one grain on the first square, two on the second, four on the third and so on, with the sum doubling each time over each square on a chess board (64). The king thinks this is an absolute bargain and agrees, he is then shocked when the inventor gives him the grand total as he knows this would bankrupt the kingdom. The grand total number of grains owed is 18,446,744,073,709,551,615!

If you are shocked at that number as well, you aren’t alone. Our inability to appreciate how powerful exponential growth can be, WILL have severe consequences when it comes to coronavirus if we ALL don’t take this virus seriously and avoid non-essential social contact.

When a global pandemic is running rampant through your community, nation and the world – things like going to bars, restaurants and cinemas can be put on hold.

At Jetset Plumbing we are doing everything we possibly can to curb the spread of coronavirus.

Our office staff are working from home where possible, we have stopped weekly in-office meetings and all of our staff are educated on the virus and what hygiene measures are put in place to ensure that our essential business can keep running to help those in need.

We have issued our staff with hand sanitiser, masks and gloves to ensure that both themselves and our clients are protected in times like these.
